- It will be held in Ensenada on September 6th.
Ensenada, Baja California.– With the goal of highlighting the work of new generations of filmmakers, the Undersecretariat of Creative Industries of the Ministry of Economy and Innovation (SEI) has joined the call to participate in the Independent Film Showcase Séptimo 2.0, which will take place on September 6th in Ensenada, announced Undersecretary Abelardo Vázquez Ramos.
“Séptimo was born from the very experience where darkness descends on independent cinema in a city where local art is overlooked and seen as a mere pastime. This space was created for artists who seek to be drawn to the public, to have their work recognized, and, most importantly, to spread the message these emerging filmmakers wish to convey through their art, which is eager to be heard.”
Víctor Valdez, organizer
Séptimo 2.0 is an exhibition that not only celebrates cinema but also builds a creative community from Baja California to the world. The call is open to filmmakers who submit projects created from 2022 onward, with a minimum duration of one minute and at least 1080p resolution. In the case of music videos, the music must also be original. All projects must be 100% percent original.
Those interested should submit their material via Google Drive to septimo.muestra@gmail.com, along with a PDF document that includes the project title, genre, synopsis, official poster, and a list of cast & crew credits.
The event will take place in September in the city of Ensenada and will feature screenings, discussions, and activities that strengthen the state's creative ecosystem and foster connections between creators, cultural entrepreneurs, and institutions.
