Baja California will be the mecca of cinema in Latin America
Shooting “Fear the Walking Dead” for three seasons in Rosarito/Tijuana was a very positive experience. The local production team, government support and the crew was excellent. Their assistance enabled us to shoot in almost every location we desired, from a large dam, to the packed tourist streets of Tijuana and even right on the busy USA/Mexican border. The Mexican crew was first class and we enjoyed our time south of the border. I am happy to recommend working in Baja and would not hesitate to return any time.
It was a great pleasure to discover the hidden gems of Baja California. The local crews exceeded all my expectations and I have since used them in other areas of Mexico traveling them from home to help out on other productions.
Baja California is a state of encounters and opportunities, a crossroads with thousands of stories that must be told to enrich our diversity and feed our dialogues as the multicultural nation that we are. There is our greatest strength and the transcendent role of our cinema in the construction of the audiovisual heritage of Mexico.
Baja California combines the best of two countries: the proximity to Hollywood facilitates the importation of specialized equipment and technicians and the constant use of North American actors. It also has a large local population of industry professionals, from various branches, highly qualified and with great international experience. The state has an immense variety of locations, enjoys a pleasant climate most of the year, offers an extraordinary variety of hotels, and has some of the best food in the world. Without the slightest doubt, it is the best place in Mexico to film
Let’s make great things together!
