Producers Melissa Castañeda and Paulina Valencia participated in CineMart, a co-production market within the International Film Festival of Rotterdam (IFFR) in the Netherlands. The project titled "Solo Tengo Sed " was the only Mexican one on the list that included a total of 28 and was written by Matthew Porterfield and Gerardo Lechuga. This festival is a pioneer in supporting contemporary cinema, with more than 340,000 attendees and more than 2,000 film professionals attending annually, one of the largest in the world. In 2022, the festival included a program of talks and online screenings, as well as offering support to film talent through CineMart and Rotterdam Lab.

Matthew Porterfield has written and directed the feature films “Hamilton” (2006), “Putty Hill” (2011), “I Used to Be Darker” (2013) and “Sollers Point” (2018) and his work is part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art and the Harvard Film Archive, in addition to participating in international festivals such as Sundance, Berlin, San Sebastian and South by Southwest. His most recent short film “Cuatro Paredes” (2021) was filmed in Baja California and featured the actress Bárbara López in the leading role, known for her participation in the TV series “Señorita 89” and “Desenfrenadas”.

"Solo Tengo Sed" tells the story of a disappearance of a man and how a group of young people from Tijuana search for answers to this tragedy. It was co-written by Gerardo Lechuga, who also wrote the short film “El Último Romántico” directed by Natalia García Agraz which received nominations for the Student Oscar Award and the Ariel Award for Best Fiction Short Film. Paulina Valencia recently produced the short film “Obachan” by Nicolasa Ruiz, which participated in various international festivals including Visions du Réel, DOQUMENTA and Morelia (FICM), in addition to be the head of the Kintsugi Cine production house. For her part, Melissa Castañeda previously produced “Los Fundadores”, winner of the Silver Puma at the UNAM International Film Festival (FICUNAM) and “Travesías”, part of the official FICM competition.
