The shooting of the second feature film by director Gilberto González Penilla, "Amores Incompletos " has concluded, featuring locations in Ensenada, Tijuana and San Quintín, and has the lead performance by actor Alejandro Camacho, as reported by the Secretary of Economy and Innovation, Kurt Honold Morales.

As reported by the Baja Film Commission of the Directorate of Creative Industries, this project is about José (Camacho), a moody 60-year-old man who has had the fortune to live with Elena, his exemplary wife. After José's birthday celebration, Elena dies of a heart attack. The days go by and José cannot adapt to his new lonely life. One day he discovers Elena's diary in which she relates that she had three lovers. Surprised and upset, José will embark on a long journey to find each of them and understand his deceased wife.

The screenplay was also written by González Penilla, who previously directed “Los Hamsters” (2015) made in Tijuana and starring Ángel Norzagaray and Gisela Madrigal. “Incomplete Loves” was filmed during four weeks in Baja California and an additional two in Baja California Sur, passing through Guerrero Negro, Mulegé, Loreto, Todos Santos and La Paz. The cast includes actors Patricia Bernal, Flor Edwarda Gurrola, Hoze Meléndez, Leonardo Flores, Silverio Palacios, Manuel Landera, Johanna Murillo, Hernán Mendoza, Carmen Beato, Alejandra Guilmant, Gabriela Roel, Hector Jímenez, Karem Momo and Alberto Lomnitz.

Post-production will conclude in September 2022 to be released in the last quarter of the same year. About the story, the director and screenwriter commented:

“It is a story of love and search during adulthood, a bittersweet comedy where we enter José's journey from Tijuana to Todos Santos. “Amores Incompletos”, is a tribute to lost loves, the love of a couple and family values.”
