As part of the “Emergente BC” a program proposed by the Ministry of Economy and Innovation through the Baja Film Commission, the exhibition of short films by CUT University of Tijuana students was held at the Cineteca Carlos Monsiváis facilities, with which inaugurates the cycle of university audiovisual exhibitions.

A total of 10 directors exhibited 12 short films corresponding to class exercises and projects exhibited at festivals, from diverse genres such as animation, fiction and documentary. Arlo Aceves and Eduardo Villa presented two short films each; Aceves exhibited “Inexistir” and “Plu”; and Villa, “Azul Acústico” and La Tinta Roja”, respectively. Also, “Los Ojos Ocultos” by Delilah Vianey Ávila; “Minutos Eternos” by Annaric Razo; “Ayer en la Noche” by Ximena Escalante; “Cenizas de Mar” by Renée Czarina; “Cruz de Navajas” by María Fernanda Osuna; “Nuestro Lugar Seguro” by Andrea Falcón; “Ser en la Nada” by Sergio Stabinsky; and “Las Aventuras de Roger” by Hugo de la Parra; all students of the Film and Audiovisual Production Degree in the seventh, eighth and eleventh quarter.

About the exhibition, Alejandro González García, School Coordinator, commented: "we thank the Cineteca for the space to share the work of the student body, the Baja Film Commission for the management to make it possible, our University for the support unconditional support that has allowed us to continuously grow as an academic program, to the creators who continue to show that the future of cinema is guaranteed, and to the friends, family and other collaborators behind that effort”.

The Cineteca Carlos Monsiváis will include a monthly space for exhibitions of university works, and will be coordinated by the Cinematography Commission. In 2019, the first sessions of this activity were held, with the Mamut Brewery as its headquarters, with works by students from the University of the Californias (UDCI), the Ibero-American University, the University of Advanced Technologies (UNIAT), the CUT University and the Autonomous University of Baja California (UABC), which will repeat for the cycle indicated for March.
