Esta sesi\u00f3n marc\u00f3 el inicio de un ciclo de trabajo colaborativo con propuestas, actualizaciones normativas, programas de profesionalizaci\u00f3n y presentaci\u00f3n de festivales y convocatorias clave para el desarrollo de la industria audiovisual.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Undersecretary of Creative Industries, Abelardo V\u00e1zquez Ramos, emphasized the importance of this space as a driving force for the sector's growth: \"Representing the state government, we are committed to providing the means and conditions for this industry to strengthen, professionalize, and generate new opportunities for economic and cultural development throughout the state,\" he declared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The session was attended by Representative Dayl\u00edn Garc\u00eda Ruvalcaba, president of the Economic Development and Binational Trade Commission of the Honorable State Congress; the Secretary of Culture, Alma Delia Abrego Ceballos; as well as representatives from the municipalities of Mexicali, Rosarito, Tecate, and San Felipe, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the meeting, consultants Octavio Quintero and Mario Fibela presented an incentive project to attract film productions, while Alfredo Gonz\u00e1lez Unibe, president of BC Hace Cine, shared the progress made in updating the Law for the Promotion, Nurture and Development of the Film and Audiovisual Industry in the State of Baja California.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During her participation, Luisa G\u00f3mez de Silva, president of CANACINE Baja California, announced the program of professionalization workshops that will be offered during the second half of the year, focused on strengthening the technical and creative skills of industry professionals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Previews of the main festivals scheduled for this year were also presented. The Ensenada International Film Festival (FICEns), to be held from November 20th to 23rd, launched the call for applications for its Pitch Lab, aimed at emerging film projects.
