For this reason, the event is transforming and, in addition to organizing a research forum, is simultaneously presenting its first film screening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Within the framework of \"Everyday Fears,\" in collaboration with the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the Autonomous University of Baja California UABC, the call for applications is now open to participate in the research forum.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>CENTRAL THEME OF THE FORUM: EVERYDAY FEARS IN FILM AND AUDIOVISUAL MEDIA: KEYS TO THEIR DECONSTRUCTION.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<pre class=\"wp-block-preformatted\">The term \"fear\" comes from the Latin verb tim\u00e3o, which means \"to be afraid\" of something known or unknown, of an earthly or spiritual figure, or as a sign of submission or reverence. In this edition of the forum, fear is conceived as an emotion that emerges in the face of a real, symbolic, or latent threat: fear as becoming.<\/pre>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>In the contemporary context of ideological polarization and bio\/necro\/psycho politics that seek to control life, death, the psyche, and behavior, film and audiovisual media are seen as powerful devices for representing, critiquing, or even reproducing the everyday fears we live with.
