MEXICALI.- The Directorate of Creative Industries of the Ministry of Economy and Innovation, headed by Abelardo V\u00e1zquez Ramos, held last Thursday \u201cBaja Talks, The Making Film Puzzle\u201d, where the creative challenges for the development of a film, taught by Adri\u00e1n Garc\u00eda Bogliano, film director and writer, who shared with students of the Bachelor's Degree in Audiovisual Media at the Autonomous University of Baja California (UABC), his experiences in solving problems in the film industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Garc\u00eda Bogliano began his career as a director at the age of 19 and has since directed productions in Argentina, Costa Rica, the United States, Mexico, Sweden and Colombia. He is considered one of the pioneers in horror film production in Latin America and has premiered his films at festivals such as Toronto, AFI Fest, Tribeca and SXSW.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In 2014 he was inducted into the Fangoria Hall of Fame, becoming the second Latin director to achieve that distinction, after Guillermo del Toro. In 2021, his film \u201cJuega Conmigo\u201d was one of the five highest-grossing Mexican films of the year, also managing to simultaneously have the film in the top of the most viewed in cinemas and his series \u201cHaunted Latin America\u201d, in the top one of the most watched on Netflix.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Additionally, in the same year he produced two films released on Amazon, \u201cHuman Animals\u201d and \u201cEl Amarre\u201d. In 2022, he directed his new film for Disney, The Exorcist. The director covered the topics of creative ideas, script writing, film direction, technology, aesthetics and film production in a dialogue table format, in order to have the students participate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition, he carried out a directing exercise based on movie scenes and delved into the topic of scriptwriting, specifying the importance of developing original stories and local production for the development of screen tourism, and how relevant the selection of a good team is. of work and the development of professional processes in the film industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
