{"id":4610,"date":"2022-05-30T15:00:48","date_gmt":"2022-05-30T22:00:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bajafilmcommission.com\/?p=4610"},"modified":"2022-06-09T15:30:57","modified_gmt":"2022-06-09T22:30:57","slug":"presenta-uabc-mexicali-cortometrajes-universitarios-en-el-ciclo-emergente-bc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bajafilmcommission.com\/en\/presenta-uabc-mexicali-cortometrajes-universitarios-en-el-ciclo-emergente-bc\/","title":{"rendered":"UABC MEXICALI PRESENTS UNIVERSITY SHORT FILMS IN THE EMERGENTE BC SHOWCASE"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>EMERGENTE BC is a monthly cycle of university short films created by the Baja California Film Commission.\u00a0<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Tijuana, Baja California.- As part of the program to promote the audiovisual industries, short films from the Autonomous University of Baja California (UABC) Mexicali Campus were presented at the Carlos Monsiv\u00e1is Film Library of the Tijuana Cultural Center (CECUT), as reported by Abelardo V\u00e1zquez Ramos , director of Creative Industries of the Ministry of Economy and Innovation (SEI). \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He explained that the presentation was through the EMERGENTE BC Program and the UABC Campus Mexicali, it is the fourth school that is presented in the second season of the cycle, after CUT University of Tijuana, University of the Californias International (UDCI) and UABC Campus Tijuana.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>EMERGENTE BC is a monthly cycle of university short films created by the Baja California Film Commission, which in its first season was shown in a brewery, while the second season is scheduled on the last Thursday of each month at the Cineteca Carlos Monsivais.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The short films presented were \u201cInsolaci\u00f3n\u201d directed by Rogelio S\u00e1nchez; \u201cJornalero\u201d by Paola Manzano; \u201cThe Voice of the West\u201d by Alexandro Bastidas; \u201cChayo\u201d by Cynthia Blanco and \u00c1ngel Cuevas; \"C\u00f3mo Regar un Girasol\" by Joaqu\u00edn Cari\u00f1o; \u201cAbrazo de Luz\u201d by Sa\u00fal del Palacio; \u201cAlgo M\u00e1gico Suceder\u00e1\u201d by Yerald\u00edn Balc\u00e1zar and \u201cEstrella\u201d by Jair Chang; who are students of the Bachelor of Audiovisual Media of the Faculty of Arts at UABC Campus Mexicali.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This event was attended by directors, producers and crew members of some of the aforementioned projects, such as directors Joaqu\u00edn Cari\u00f1o, Jair Chang and Sa\u00fal del Palacio, as well as makeup and costume designer Nicole Sol\u00eds, and producer Lukas Jim\u00e9nez.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prior to this exhibition, these projects have had successful tours of festivals, such as \"Insolaci\u00f3n\", which participated in the Macabro Film Festival, the Monterrey International Film Festival (FICMonterrey), Shorts M\u00e9xico, the Tequila International Film Festival ( FICTEQ) and at the San Diego Latino Film Festival;
