{"id":4545,"date":"2022-03-31T14:50:00","date_gmt":"2022-03-31T21:50:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bajafilmcommission.com\/?p=4545"},"modified":"2026-03-04T11:47:42","modified_gmt":"2026-03-04T19:47:42","slug":"realizan-segundo-encuentro-de-canacine-bc-en-mexicali","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bajafilmcommission.com\/en\/realizan-segundo-encuentro-de-canacine-bc-en-mexicali\/","title":{"rendered":"THE SECOND MEETING OF CANACINE BC IS HELD IN MEXICALI"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The event had Mexican series and movie producer Pablo Cruz as a guest and was held at Mercado Cine Curto.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the meetings scheduled during the year, the National Chamber of the Baja California Film Industry (CANACINE BC) held the second meeting of the film industry on March 25th at the Mercado Cine Curto, with the presence of the film and television producer Mexican Pablo Cruz, as reported by the Secretary of Economy and Innovation, Kurt Honold Morales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the objectives of the Directorate of Creative Industries and the Baja Film Comission of the State Government is the constant promotion of the existing audiovisual value chain and trigger all creative capacities to promote the industry hand in hand with professional training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the talk moderated by the President of CANACINE BC, Walter von Borstel, the producer explained: \u201cWithout a doubt, training is essential. There are not enough film schools in this country. Sadly, they are all in Mexico City, the ones that generate it, and it is because they are close to us.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before an audience of students, producers and those interested in learning more about the audiovisual industry and the experience of the producer of television series such as \"Soy Tu Fan\" (2010), \"Luis Miguel: La Serie\" (2018), \"Fear the Walking Dead\u201d (2016) and \u201cLas Cr\u00f3nicas del Taco\u201d (2019), the latter two with locations in the State, Pablo Cruz highlighted the diversity of locations that the entity has and expressed: \u201cThere is a totally different look at the cultural centralization that has this country where it seems that there are only Chilangos who inhabit such a large country and it is urgent that stories of all kinds are told, not just from the center of the country\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to his work as a producer of television series, Cruz has also produced the feature films \u201cMiss Bala\u201d (2011), \u201cC\u00e9sar Ch\u00e1vez\u201d (2014), \u201cLas Elegidas\u201d (2015) \u2013winner of the Ariel Award for Best Film and included in the Un Certain Regard section of the Cannes Festival\u2013, and recently \u201cEl Baile de los 41\u201d (2020). \u201cWhat else you have to do is sell, that is an industry of selling, selling all day.
