{"id":4526,"date":"2022-03-16T15:30:40","date_gmt":"2022-03-16T22:30:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bajafilmcommission.com\/?p=4526"},"modified":"2026-03-04T11:36:35","modified_gmt":"2026-03-04T19:36:35","slug":"estreno-de-videodanza-iceberg-filmada-en-tijuana","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bajafilmcommission.com\/en\/estreno-de-videodanza-iceberg-filmada-en-tijuana\/","title":{"rendered":"PREMIERE OF THE SHORT FILM \u201cICEBERG\u201d FILMED IN TIJUANA"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The locations were the Medical Plaza heliport, the Villa Fontana neighborhood, El Chaparral Bridge and the Playas de Tijuana and Centro delegations.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The short film \u201cIceberg\u201d, a videodance created by P\u00e9ndulo Cero and the audiovisual production company Emp\u00edrica, will premiere on March 19, 2022 at the Cineteca Carlos Monsiv\u00e1is of the Tijuana Cultural Center, to present a film and dance proposal based on the reflection on circumstances that constantly shake humanity, such as climate change and migration, reported the Secretary of Economy and Innovation, Kurt Honold Morales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the Baja Film Commission of the Directorate of Creative Industries, \"Iceberg\" was filmed in Tijuana in various locations such as the Medical Plaza heliport, the Villa Fontana neighborhood, El Chaparral Bridge and the Playas de Tijuana and Centro delegations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The artistic direction and choreography was in charge of Miroslava Wilson and Carlos A. Gonz\u00e1lez; the audiovisual direction was by Kevin Cabrera; Marco Aurelio Celis, director of photography; and post-production by Sa\u00fal del Palacio. The scenic creators and dancers are Paulina Ibarra, Jos\u00e9 \u00c1ngel Roch\u00edn, Pita Zapot, Sara Ram\u00edrez, Elizabeth Hern\u00e1ndez and Salvador Corona.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>About \u201cIceberg\u201d, the audiovisual director Kevin Cabrera commented: \u201cthis is a project with the intention of making the viewer reflect on general issues such as climate change, migration, segmentation and abandonment; but that at the same time responds to particular phenomena that happen daily in our city, Tijuana\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After the premiere, the production team's plan is to reach the widest possible reach, submitting the material to national and international festivals, in addition to making more projections in cultural spaces in Tijuana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cThe metaphor of a body deteriorating on its way to an uncertain destination is the living story of each person who arrives in this city in search of a better life, that is where we seek to capture those special moments; the beauty in the chaos of the city, the melody of a pedestrian crossing or the dream of people who do not rest. Thanks to a performance by the P\u00e9ndulo Cero dance company, we managed to harmoniously connect the audiovisual elements with the dance. This video-dance is an exercise to push the limits of both disciplines and offer a sensory experience with a specific message: movement transforms\u201d, added Cabrera.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The rest of the production includes Hosanna Le\u00f3n, executive producer (Emp\u00edrica); Miroslava Wilson, executive producer, and Rub\u00e9n Valencia, technical coordination, both from P\u00e9ndulo Cero; Rub\u00e9n Valencia, technical coordination (Zero Pendulum); Axel Tamayo \/ 9spiral Project, musical composition; Andrea Rivera, making off; Mario Mar\u00edn del R\u00edo, costume design; Laura Gonz\u00e1lez, costume coordination and production; Miriam Montalvo, makeup design and production; Ieve Gonz\u00e1lez, graphic and editorial design; Juan Luis Alejos, communication and production; and Jes\u00fas Robles in accounting and finance.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Las locaciones fueron el helipuerto de Medical Plaza, la colonia Villa Fontana, Puente El Chaparral y las delegaciones Playas de Tijuana y Centro.
