Fisher's feature debut was shot over 17 days and tells the story of a boxer on his quest to win a world championship.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>TIJUANA. \u2013 After 17 days, the filming of director Fernando A. Fisher\u2019s directorial debut, titled \u201cEntre Las Cuerdas,\u201d concluded in Tijuana. It tells a story of survival, in which Mart\u00edn (Jos\u00e9 Chinchillas) will seek to obtain his first boxing championship to give the leap to international fame, informed the Ministry of Economy and Innovation, through the Baja Film Commission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Its production was in charge of Alberto Aguilar L\u00f3pez and the cast includes Salvador Pelayo, Brenda Corro, Carlos Puentes, Rodrigo Zapien, Patty Cay and Pedro Pinillo. At the end of the 8-month post-production, the production team will try for an international premiere at the Sundance festival, and at the Morelia festival for Latin America. Various locations in Tijuana will be shown, including gyms, the CREA Sports Unit, Fausto Guti\u00e9rrez Moreno Municipal Auditorium, 5 de Mayo Elementary School, New City Medical Plaza, Quartz Hotel, Cervecer\u00eda Mexica and others in the Downtown such as Plaza Santa Cecilia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the crew, Fisher, in addition to directing, serves as executive producer together with Gerardo Lim\u00f3n; while Alberto Aguilar L\u00f3pez produces and did location management; Am\u00e9rica Banaga, associate producer and location assistant, Frida P\u00e9rez, key PA and costume designer; Isaac Brown, casting director (extras) and production assistant; Carla Meza, production assistant. As well as Kenya Amaya, continuity and 2nd AD; Iv\u00e1n G\u00f3mez, director of photography; Alfredo Viramontes, 1AC and operator; Luis Orozco, BTS; Ivan Rivas, gaffer; Israel Lopez, grip; Fulvio Cortez, direct sound; Karintia Ozuna, art direction; Lili\u00e1n Mej\u00eda, art assistant; Erika D\u00b4Santi, SPFX; Pahola Martinez, MUA; Zuly Fabiola, MUA day player; Sairy Luna, wardrobe assistant; \u00c1ngel Brophy, stunt coordinator; Luis \u00c1ngel Prado, stunt coordinator assistant; and Christian Mariscal, box coordinator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Regarding the film, the director commented that \u201cit was written a long time ago, almost 10 years, and at first I wanted to make a movie about a Mexican superhero, I wanted nothing more than to be pure action, but from the moment I sat down to write it, it took me to a different place than the one I had imagined, to a realistic world with current problems that some of us live in\u201d. Fisher previously directed two short films, \u201cEl Amor No Existe\u201d (2019), official selection of the Buenos Aires and San Diego festivals; and \u201cPerturbado\u201d (2019) which was part of the events Dark Veins Horror Fest, The Vault Film Festival, Horrible Imaginings Film Festival, San Antonio Film Festival and earned Jos\u00e9 Chinchillas the award for Best Actor and Iv\u00e1n G\u00f3mez the award for Best Cinematography at the Purgatory Film Festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>About this experience, the producer Alberto Aguilar L\u00f3pez said, \u201cthis film will definitely leave a mark on my career as a filmmaker, since it is a debut film; both from Fernando A. Fisher as director, and mine as producer\u201d. He added, \u201cit was a constant challenge, since I had previously produced short films and had had to work in the production department on other projects, do it on a large scale, with a larger budget and with the responsibility that any incident or event that happened would be the responsibility of mine, it required more dedication and time on my part, but when we see it on screen I will think that everything has been worth it\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Baja Film Commission is part of the Directorate of Creative Industries and provides support for film projects, grants production notices and seeks coordination with different authorities to facilitate filming and to carry it out safely.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>La \u00f3pera prima del director Fernando A.
