Tijuana, BC, December 10, 2020.- From January 18 to 24, 2021, the FilminLatino website will show a cycle of short films created by the finalists of the Baja California Makes Shorts From Home contest, as reported by Mario Escobedo Carignan, Head of the Secretary of Sustainable Economy and Tourism (SEST). These short films were made to fulfill the call launched in April 2020 which received 35 projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The goal of this cycle organized by the Baja California Film Commission and the platform is to provide the creators of the state with an exhibition window for their work. FilminLatino has more than 260 thousand users and depends on the Mexican Institute of Cinematography. There will be 9 short films, including \u201cA salvo\u201d by Omar Y\u00f1igo, \u201cDeseos\u201d by Luis Cece\u00f1a, \u201cLa Proyecci\u00f3n\u201d by Mauricio Ortega, \u201cLittle Devil's Hell\u201d by Olga Miranda, \u201cNostos\u201d by Fausto Celis, \u201cPeque\u00f1as Cosas\u201d by Enrique Aguirre, \"Un D\u00eda Fabuloso y Productivo en Cuarentena\" by Juan Gibok An Mesa, as well as the winners of the audience award, \"At\u00edpica\" by Roberto Ledesma, and the jury award, \"El Blog\" by Esteban Garc\u00eda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The contest's qualifying jury was integrated by producer Luisa G\u00f3mez de Silva, who recently produced the web series \u201cSelena\u201d for Netflix; producer, director and screenwriter Ren\u00e9 Bueno, known for the films \u201cLo m\u00e1s sencillo es complicarlo todo\u201d and \u201cReci\u00e9n cazado\u201d; and producer, director and actor \u00d3scar L\u00f3pez of the series \u201cEl Desconocido\u201d and \u201cIngobernable\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This will be the second programmed cycle in FilminLatino with Baja California creators, after \u201cEMERGENTE BC\u201d, with an anthology of short films called \u201cDesayuno Continental: Vol. 1: Generaciones\u201d (\u201cContinental Breakfast Vol. 1: Generations\u201d), as indicated by Javier Espinoza, Baja Film Commissioner.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
