Tijuana, BC, December 8, 2020.- The Secretary of Sustainable Economy and Tourism, through its Minister, Mario Escobedo Carignan, announced that the 'EMERGENTE BC' program will be launched, consisting of an exhibition of an anthology of short films created by state filmmakers based in the municipality of Tijuana, being this the continuation of the program called \u201cEmerging Talent\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"EMERGENTE BC\", will be supervised by the Baja Film Commission in charge of Javier Espinoza. In the first face-to-face block, almost 50 short films created by students from Tijuana universities were presented and were screened at the Mamut Brewery at the beginning of 2020, prior to the contingency caused by COVID-19, as was announced by the head of the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It will be through the FilminLatino website, dependent on the Mexican Institute of Cinematography, where this anthology called \u201cDesayuno Continental, Vol. 1: Generaciones\u201d (\"Continental Breakfast Vol. 1: Generations\") will be presented. The platform currently has more than 260,000 registered users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the production company Violeta, the anthology, arises with the idea of \u200b\u200bgenerating a community and support network among emerging filmmakers in the city of Tijuana, seeking the opportunity to produce films under any production scheme, thus giving priority to the ideas and views of those who develop it.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
This exhibition will start from January 8 to 15, 2021, through the filminlatino.mx platform and there will also be a question and answer section on January 13 and 14, 2021 through the Baja Film Commission Facebook, where the directors of the anthology will be attending.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
